Pan HER/VEGFR2 receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor BMS-690154 binds to human epidermal growth factor receptors 1 and 2 (HER1, HER2) and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR-2), all three of which are frequently overexpressed by a variety of tumor types. Binding of this agent to these receptors may result in the inhibition of tumor cell proliferation; the inhibition of endothelial cell migration and proliferation and angiogenesis; and tumor cell death.
